About our Pastor

 

 

Dr. Maria A. Lopez, Pastor and founder of Oasis of Hope Christian Center along with Oasis of Hope School of Ministry.

 

She was born in  Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age  of 16, she  was shown  a vision concerning the future of her ministry.

 

In  Boston,  Massachusetts,  she began her initial training  and attended  Christ for the Nations   and   traveled  worldwide  in  the Mission Field.

 

She served  in the First  Assembly  of God Church in the town of  Framingham  training  for future church work. From there the Lord moved her to Riverside, California to Bethel Christian  Bible College.  There she received  Certificates  of  Christian  Works and Child Evangelism Fellowship.

 

In 1987 the Lord fulfilled  her  first  vision, she  became  licensed  and  Ordained   as  a Pastor   from   the    Pentecostal    Holiness Church.   And   Oasis   of   Hope  Christian Center was opened in Riverside.

 

In 1991 she received a Doctorate Degree in Ministry  and  Teaching  from Logos International Bible College.

 

Another Ordination  took place and she became a member of  the Logos International Churches.

 

She received "The Bishop's Award" for her achievements as a pioneer Pastor for the work of her lifetime and visions, from the Conference of Pentecostal Holiness Churches.

 

In 1993, even after more schooling, she received a Ph.D. in Theology, Counseling and Psychotherapy through Logos International College. Another vision                   

vision was fulfilled when she became president of the Riverside Chapter of the International Women's Faith Foundation. An organization that met her vision in helping women to understand the wants and needs in their lives. She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

 

In February of 1998 under the additional Ordination

from Dr. Ron Halvorson of Bethel Christian Center in Riverside she was asked to serve as a member of the Board of Concerned Families of Riverside.

 

On December 2, 2004, under the leadership of Pastor Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church she was Ordained into the World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship.

 

In 2005, she was Ordained into the Breath of the Spirit Prophetic Word Center. Under the leadership of Dr. Michelle Corral, which is such a honor and adding to her vision.

 

We are pleased to announce that on March 1, 2007, Pastor Lopez received her acceptance into the Dream Center Alliance of Los Angeles, CA. With this affiliation she will be working hand in hand with the LA Dream Center programs and outreaches.

 

Dr. Maria Lopez believes that anyone who wants to work and serve the Lord Jesus should strive for an excellent ministry, and do the work that Jesus Christ has commanded all of us to do on the earth. She serves as an example of progress and continues to walk the uphill battle to help all people through her Vision and Ministry with the Lord Jesus.
